God loves you and He wants you to have an intimate, personal relationship with Him and to receive eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only son [Jesus Christ] that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.(John 3:16) Since God created us for a relationship with Him and to have eternal life, why are many not enjoying this experience? The problem is sin..our sin...that separates us from God. God did not make us robots to mindlessly love and obey Him. Instead He gave us a will and freedom to choose. But, we often choose to disobey God and go our own selfish ways. This side of us is called sin, and it creates a huge wall between us and a heavenly Father who loves us. This righteousness [or purity] from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:22-23) For the wages [cost] of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) The facts are simple. We have sinned and our sin separates us from God. Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem of separation from God. He died on the cross and rose from the grave to pay the penalty for our sin. He completely bridged the gap between us and God. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) God has already provided the only way...and we must make the choice. You can receive Jesus Christ when you believe in who He is and what He has done. Trust in Him alone to save you. That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For itis with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Roman 10:9,10) Pray to God right now to receive His free gift of salvation and begin a new life in Him. All verses are from the New International Version of the Bible. |
